Visa

I’ve just called to the Swedish Consulate in Rio de Janeiro. They have received my documents and it seems everything is fine. :)

Here in Fortaleza there’s a honorary consulate, but I didn’t like the way they have treated me at all. Both of the persons that tried to help me didn’t even know what I was asking for, and seemed to be scared of giving me information. They would only repeat “call the embassy in Brasilia, they are the ones that know about visa stuff”. The Brasilia guys have told me that I could just leave my documents with the Fortaleza consulate, but I feel like I can’t trust them. The Rio one was way, way more helpful; so instead of saving money by personally delivering my documents to the consulate here, I chose to pay for express mail and sent them to Rio.

I’m more relaxed now. It’s just a matter of waiting.
